Also Transferretin saturation is low, besides my calcium is below normal at 8.4. can you pls suggest what i should do. In an adult male iron deficiency anemia is generally caused by any chronic bleeding from either bowels or urinary tracts. I would recommend you to get tested for stool for occult blood test (FOBT) and urine analysis. Once we determine the site, we can than think about the cause of the bleeding.
